UAE’s Silent Partnership in Israel’s Gaza “Concentration Camp” Scheme

Overview
As Israeli tanks push into Gaza City and airstrikes flatten entire neighborhoods, a parallel operation is quietly underway in the south — the creation of a “humanitarian zone” in Rafah. Framed as relief, this zone is emerging as a concentration camp, where Palestinians are forcibly corralled and controlled.
The Gang Leader Front: Yasser Abu Shabab
On July 24, The Wall Street Journal published an article supposedly authored by Yasser Abu Shabab, a known gang leader in Gaza with deep ties to Israeli intelligence. The piece claims his “Popular Forces” control eastern Rafah and are preparing to house 600,000 displaced Palestinians.
Despite reports of his illiteracy, Abu Shabab is suddenly presented as a civic planner. In reality, his group has terrorized residents and looted aid trucks. Now, he is being positioned as the local “security” force in an Israeli-built holding zone for Palestinians.
Israel’s Blueprint for Displacement
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant outlined a plan to build a closed humanitarian zone to hold 600,000 people along the Egyptian border — a number repeated in the WSJ article and mirrored in Emirati logistics.
This zone would be constructed during a proposed ceasefire, relocating Palestinians from other “safe zones” like al-Mawasi into a single area — the rubble of Rafah.
The UAE’s Role: Infrastructure for Internment
Since April 2025, Operation Gallant Knight 3, led by the UAE, has built six desalination plants in Egypt’s al-Arish — capable of supplying water for 600,000 people. According to UAE state media, this water is destined for “southern Gaza.”
This water will not reach all of Gaza — only the designated containment area. The UAE is thus providing the lifeline infrastructure for a camp that will be policed by Israeli proxies like Abu Shabab.
The UAE’s role is twofold:
- Humanitarian camouflage: Framing internment as relief.
- Logistical enabler: Building the water and aid delivery system to sustain the containment zone.
GHF & the Aid-Massacre Complex
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) is expected to distribute food and aid in the zone. This is the same organization associated with massacres at aid sites — where more than 1,000 were killed, often while queuing for food.
This is not humanitarian assistance. This is controlled survival, where Israel and its partners decide who eats, who drinks, and who lives — all outside international legal oversight.
A Concentration Camp by Design
This is not a humanitarian city. It is a ghetto, a containment facility where movement is restricted, infrastructure is foreign-controlled, and residents are forcibly displaced under the threat of starvation and death.
Those outside these areas are already being:
- Starved through blockade
- Bombed with impunity
- Arrested or killed if they remain in “non-safe” zones
Conclusion
The UAE, through its water plants, logistics, and diplomatic silence, is complicit in building what can only be described as a 21st-century concentration camp in Gaza.
This isn’t just about aid.
This is about control, coercion, and collaboration.
The international community must reject this scheme — and those who enable it.
